Last Day

It's the last full day here in San Francisco before the Big Move across the waters. That would be the SF Bay-- headin' over to Bezerkeley.

I've been here in San Fran for about two years now-- and I've enjoyed most of it. The parks, the ocean, urban wildlife, convenience of being close to almost anything....but I haven't enjoyed the noise. We're right on a busy thoroughfare, and the noise is constant: fire trucks, buses, kids getting out from school yelling, etc.. I'm looking forward to the relative peace and quiet waiting at the new abode, not to mention the yard and alienscape of native plants. I'll really miss my favorite tree out on Land's End, though.

I have all these ambitions for the new lifestyle... maybe I should wait to reveal the full extent of my ideas. Wait and see how much energy I have after moving boxes and furniture tomorrow.

Possible saga to follow: the U-Haul pickup.
